From 2011 to 2019, I served as documentarian with GirlTrek—a global health justice movement unapologetically centering Black women and girls. I travelled the country covering their organizing and education efforts, as well as training alongside them in CPR, trek leadership, advanced wilderness first aid, and mental health advocacy.
